1. Who We Are
Screener AI is operated by Verumio LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in the state of Wyoming, United States. We provide an AI-powered candidate screening platform that helps recruiters evaluate LinkedIn profiles against custom criteria.

2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account Data (collected directly from you)
- Username
- Email address
- Password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash, never in plain text)
- Account creation date and last login timestamp
2.2 LinkedIn Profile Data (collected from public sources)
When you use our enrichment feature, we retrieve publicly available data from LinkedIn profiles that you specify. This may include:
- Name, headline, and current job title
- Current and past employers
- Work experience history (titles, companies, dates, descriptions)
- Education history (schools, degrees, fields of study)
- Skills and languages listed on the profile
- Certifications
- Location and country
- Profile picture URL
- Number of connections and recommendations
- Years of professional experience
We only collect data from profiles whose URLs you explicitly provide. We do not scrape LinkedIn at scale or harvest profiles without user instruction.
2.3 Usage and Security Data (collected automatically)
- IP address at login (for security and abuse prevention)
- Browser user agent string at login
- Pages visited and features used (via analytics, see Section 6)
- Activity logs (actions performed within the platform)
2.4 Payment Data
Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVC, or full billing address. We retain only:
- Stripe customer ID (an opaque identifier)
- Transaction records (amount, date, credit pack purchased)
- Payment intent IDs (for reconciliation and refund processing)
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide, maintain, and improve your account and the Service
- Process credit purchases and refunds
- Enrich LinkedIn profiles you submit and run AI screening
- Detect fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Send transactional emails (verification, receipts)
- Analytics and service improvement
- Comply with legal and tax obligations
4. AI-Powered Screening and Automated Decision-Making
Our core feature uses large language models (LLMs) to evaluate LinkedIn profiles against screening criteria you define in plain English. For each profile, the AI produces:
- A numerical score (0 to 100)
- A fit level classification (Perfect Fit, Strong Fit, Maybe, No Fit)
- Written reasoning explaining the evaluation
This output is a recommendation tool, not an automated final decision. You, the recruiter, make all hiring decisions. We do not use AI to make decisions that produce legal effects on candidates without human review.
The AI processes only the publicly available profile data listed in Section 2.2 above, combined with the screening prompt you write. No additional data sources are used. The AI does not have access to protected characteristics (race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.) beyond what may appear in a public LinkedIn profile.
5. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following processors, strictly for service delivery:

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers to the US are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as applicable.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use minimal browser storage for authentication (a session token stored in localStorage that expires after 24 hours) and standard analytics tools to understand how the platform is used and improve it.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers.
7. Data Retention
- Account data: retained for the lifetime of your account. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- LinkedIn profile data: retained for as long as the associated project exists. When you delete a project, associated profile data is removed.
- Screening results: retained with the project. Deleted when the project is deleted.
- Login history: retained for 12 months for security audit purposes, then automatically purged.
- Payment records: retained for 10 years as required by applicable tax law.
- API logs: retained for 6 months for debugging and cost tracking, then automatically purged.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Eraseyour data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances
- Port your data to another service in a machine-readable format
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Not be subject to solely automated decisions with legal effect (our AI screening is a recommendation tool, not a final decision)

9. Information About Third-Party Data Subjects
Our platform processes LinkedIn profile data of individuals who are not direct users of Screener AI (i.e., the candidates being screened).
- The data is sourced from publicly available LinkedIn profiles.
- Processing is based on the legitimate interest of our users (recruiters) in evaluating candidates for open positions.
- We process only the categories of data listed in Section 2.2.
- Any individual whose data appears on our platform may contact privacy@verumio.com to exercise their rights under GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, or request erasure of their data.
Our users (recruiters) are responsible for ensuring their use of candidate data complies with applicable employment and anti-discrimination laws in their jurisdiction.
10. Data Security
We implement the following security measures:
- Passwords hashed using bcrypt with salt
- All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- Rate limiting on authentication endpoints
- JWT-based session tokens with 24-hour expiry
- Role-based access control (admin, member) restricting data visibility
- Login history monitoring for anomaly detection
- Disposable email address blocking to prevent abuse
- API request logging and cost monitoring for anomaly detection
11. International Data Transfers
Your data is processed in the United States and may be transferred to other countries where our service providers operate. We require all third-party providers to maintain appropriate security measures to protect your data.
12. Children
Screener AI is a B2B recruitment tool. Our service is not directed at individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
