Terms of Service

By accessing or using Screener AI ("the Service"), operated by Verumio LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a Wyoming limited liability company, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Verumio LLC. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Screener AI is a recruitment technology platform that allows you to:

• Import LinkedIn profile URLs or CSV data of candidates
• Enrich those profiles by retrieving publicly available data from LinkedIn
• Screen and score candidates against custom criteria using AI-powered evaluation
• Export results, share anonymous shortlists with clients, and manage screening projects

The AI screening produces recommendations (scores, fit levels, reasoning). These are decision-support tools, not hiring decisions. You are solely responsible for all recruitment decisions made using the Service.

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing:

• A unique username
• A valid email address
• A password

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Not share your account with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Not create multiple accounts or use disposable email addresses

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4.1 Credit System

The Service operates on a credit-based model. Credits are consumed when you use platform features:

• 1 credit per profile enriched (LinkedIn data retrieval)
• 1 credit per profile screened (AI evaluation)

4.2 Free Trial

New accounts receive 50 free credits upon email verification. Free trial credits are non-transferable and subject to the same usage terms as purchased credits.

4.3 Purchases

Credit packs are available for purchase via Stripe. All prices are displayed in USD and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Purchases are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your payment card details.

4.4 Refunds

Credits are non-refundable once consumed. For unused credits, refund requests may be submitted to reda@verumio.com within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are issued at our discretion and processed via the original payment method. If a refund is granted after credits have been partially consumed, only the unused portion will be refunded.

4.5 Credit Expiration

Purchased credits do not expire as long as your account remains active. Credits are forfeited upon account termination.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful recruitment purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service to discriminate against candidates based on race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
• Use screening prompts that explicitly or implicitly filter on protected characteristics
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data beyond what the Service provides through its intended features
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute candidate data obtained through the Service
• Use the Service for stalking, harassment, or surveillance of individuals
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other security measures
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service outside of our official browser extension
• Upload malicious content, malware, or attempt to compromise the Service
• Impersonate another person or entity when using the Service

You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws, including employment law, anti-discrimination law, and data protection regulations in your jurisdiction.

6.1 Our IP

The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, branding, and documentation, is owned by Verumio and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership rights to the Service.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the screening prompts, project configurations, and any original content you create on the platform. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to deliver the Service.

6.3 AI-Generated Output

Screening scores, fit levels, and written reasoning generated by our AI are produced for your use within the Service. You may use, export, and share these outputs for legitimate recruitment purposes. We do not claim ownership over AI-generated screening results.

The Service allows you to create shareable links to screening results. When creating a shared link, you may choose between:

• Full mode: shows complete candidate profiles including names
• Anonymous mode: scrubs candidate names and identifying details

You are responsible for the data shared through these links. Consider using anonymous mode when sharing with external parties to minimize data exposure. Shared links may be set to expire or may be revoked at any time.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect personal data.

As a recruiter using our platform, you may be considered a data controller under GDPR for the candidate data you process. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process candidate data and for complying with your obligations under applicable data protection laws.

We aim to provide reliable, uninterrupted service, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Specifically, we do not warrant that:

• AI screening results will be accurate, complete, or free from bias
• LinkedIn profile data will be current or error-free
• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

AI-generated evaluations are probabilistic and should be treated as one input among many in your recruitment process.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Verumio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud or gross negligence.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Verumio LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law, including anti-discrimination and data protection laws
• Screening prompts or criteria you create that are discriminatory
• Your sharing of candidate data in a manner that violates applicable law

You may close your account at any time by contacting reda@verumio.com. Upon account closure, your data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Service in a way that could harm us or other users.

Unused credits are forfeited upon termination for cause. If we terminate your account without cause, you may request a pro-rata refund of unused purchased credits.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you disagree with the changes, you may close your account before the changes take effect.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming.

• Severability: if any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
• Waiver: our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
• Entire Agreement: these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Verumio LLC regarding the Service.
• Assignment: you may not assign your rights under these Terms. Verumio LLC may assign its rights in connection with a merger or acquisition.
• Force Majeure: we are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, pandemic, internet outages, or third-party service failures.
